RPL in Western Australia
Western Australia asks a lot of experienced workers across trades, resources, property and service roles, but formal recognition should still start with what you've already done. RPL it Australia helps you organise that evidence, understand how licensing fits around the qualification, and move carefully through the process. Recognition shouldn't require starting over.

In Western Australia, the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety oversees many trade, property and automotive licensing settings, while WA Police manages security licensing and Working with Children Check rules apply in relevant roles. Where a licence depends on holding a recognised qualification, RPL can help experienced workers meet that qualification requirement before dealing with the regulator. RPL it does not issue licences or assess competence. The delivering RTO completes the formal assessment, and the authority decides the licence outcome.

Campus visits, state rules, timing and licences.
Got more questions?Yes. RPL is done remotely. You don’t need to visit a campus in Western Australia or anywhere else. Evidence is submitted online, and the delivering RTO assesses your portfolio. Some trade licences may need a practical demonstration, which can usually be arranged at a workplace near you.
Yes. Qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and are the same wherever you live. Licensing is different: it’s set by each state, and Western Australia rules can add requirements beyond the qualification.

It depends on a few things. What you influence: how quickly you gather and submit your evidence, and how quickly you respond to requests. What RPL it controls: preparing a complete, well-organised portfolio for the RTO and following up for you. What the RTO controls: its assessment workload, scheduling and issuing the qualification.
As an indication, most of our candidates who submit a complete evidence portfolio receive their outcome within 4–6 weeks of submission to the RTO. This is based on past experience, not a guarantee of your timeline.
