Victoria regulates different sectors through different bodies. The Victorian Building Authority is central for many trade pathways, security settings sit with Licensing and Regulation Division and Victoria Police, real estate is overseen by the Business Licensing Authority, and Working with Children Check rules apply in relevant roles. Where a licence depends on a recognised qualification, RPL can help experienced workers meet that qualification requirement before they apply to the regulator. RPL it does not issue licences or assess competence. The delivering RTO handles the formal assessment.

Yes. RPL is done remotely. You don’t need to visit a campus in Victoria or anywhere else. Evidence is submitted online, and the delivering RTO assesses your portfolio. Some trade licences may need a practical demonstration, which can usually be arranged at a workplace near you.
Yes. Qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and are the same wherever you live. Licensing is different: it’s set by each state, and Victoria rules can add requirements beyond the qualification.

It depends on a few things. What you influence: how quickly you gather and submit your evidence, and how quickly you respond to requests. What RPL it controls: preparing a complete, well-organised portfolio for the RTO and following up for you. What the RTO controls: its assessment workload, scheduling and issuing the qualification.
As an indication, most of our candidates who submit a complete evidence portfolio receive their outcome within 4–6 weeks of submission to the RTO. This is based on past experience, not a guarantee of your timeline.
No. RPL it Australia doesn’t assess or issue licences. The delivering RTO assesses your evidence and issues the qualification, and the Victoria regulator decides any licence outcome.
