Built around your compliance
Under the 2025 Standards for RTOs, your RTO stays responsible for any services a third party delivers on its behalf, including marketing and recruitment. We set the partnership up so you can show that at audit.
- A written third-party agreement is in place before we market any qualification you deliver.
- You approve marketing that names your RTO or your qualifications before it goes live.
- Your RTO name, RTO code and a training.gov.au link appear on every qualification page you deliver.
- We give you the details you need to notify ASQA of the arrangement, where that is required.
- Candidate information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
- We keep records of what we do for your candidates and share them when you need them for monitoring or audit.
Frequently asked questions
Who is responsible for assessment?
Your RTO. Your qualified assessors assess each candidate’s evidence, make the competency decision and issue the qualification. RPL it supports and guides the candidate. We don’t assess and we don’t issue qualifications.
Who approves marketing that mentions our RTO?
You do. Any marketing that names your RTO or the qualifications you deliver is sent to you for approval before it goes live, as set out in our written agreement.
Which qualifications are you looking for?
Many qualifications on our site are open for register interest only, because we don’t yet have a partner RTO for them. If any of those are on your scope and you assess them through RPL, we’d like to talk.
How are commercial terms set?
There is no set-up fee for your RTO. Fees are agreed per candidate and written into the partnership agreement. We’ll walk you through them on the intro call.
Will candidates be told they will get the qualification?
No. Candidates are told the outcome depends on the RTO’s assessment of their evidence. We use words like “indicative” and “typically” and never promise a result.
How do we get started?
