Queensland has several major regulators depending on the field. QBCC is central for many building and trade pathways, the Office of Fair Trading covers areas such as security and real estate, and the Blue Card system applies to child-related work. Where a licence or registration depends on holding a nationally recognised qualification, RPL can help experienced workers meet that qualification requirement before they deal with the authority. RPL it does not assess or issue licences. The delivering RTO completes the formal assessment, and the regulator decides the final licence or registration outcome.

If you’re assessed as competent in every unit, the RTO issues your nationally recognised qualification. If there are gaps, gap training may be needed. Any extra fees are set out in writing before you agree.

Campus visits, state rules, timing and licences.
Got more questions?Yes. RPL is done remotely. You don’t need to visit a campus in Queensland or anywhere else. Evidence is submitted online, and the delivering RTO assesses your portfolio. Some trade licences may need a practical demonstration, which can usually be arranged at a workplace near you.
Yes. Qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and are the same wherever you live. Licensing is different: it’s set by each state, and Queensland rules can add requirements beyond the qualification.

It depends on a few things. What you influence: how quickly you gather and submit your evidence, and how quickly you respond to requests. What RPL it controls: preparing a complete, well-organised portfolio for the RTO and following up for you. What the RTO controls: its assessment workload, scheduling and issuing the qualification.
As an indication, most of our candidates who submit a complete evidence portfolio receive their outcome within 4–6 weeks of submission to the RTO. This is based on past experience, not a guarantee of your timeline.
No. RPL it Australia doesn’t assess or issue licences. The delivering RTO assesses your evidence and issues the qualification, and the Queensland regulator decides any licence outcome.
