RPL in Geelong, VIC

RPL in Geelong. Recognition for Victoria workers.

Geelong workers often move between construction, manufacturing and health roles where experience is substantial but paperwork arrives later. RPL it Australia helps convert that experience into formal evidence through a remote-first process that respects the work you've already done. Experience can be evidence when it is organised carefully and assessed by the right RTO.

  • Done remotely. Evidence is submitted online, with no campus visits.
  • A free skills review before you pay anything

Licensing in Victoria

Geelong combines port-linked industry, manufacturing history and growing health services, making it a strong second-city market rather than a Melbourne copy. Victorian licensing settings still apply, especially through the VBA for trade pathways. You don't need to visit a campus. Evidence gathering is fully remote.

Licensing is set at state level. For the full picture, see RPL in Victoria.

How RPL works

The process is the same wherever you live. RPL it Australia guides you through it. The delivering RTO assesses your evidence and issues the qualification.

  1. Free skills review

Tell us about your experience. An account manager lets you know honestly which qualifications suit you.

  2. Evidence portfolio

The RTO tells you exactly what evidence it needs, and we help you put it together.

  3. RTO assessment

The delivering RTO’s qualified assessor reviews your evidence. They may contact you to clarify, verify or ask for more.

  4. Your outcome

If you’re assessed as competent in every unit, the RTO issues your nationally recognised qualification. If there are gaps, gap training may be needed. Any extra fees are set out in writing before you agree.

Campus visits, state rules, timing and licences.

Got more questions?
Can I do RPL from Geelong without visiting a campus?

Yes. RPL is done remotely. You don’t need to visit a campus in Geelong or anywhere else. Evidence is submitted online, and the delivering RTO assesses your portfolio. Some trade licences may need a practical demonstration, which can usually be arranged at a workplace near you.

Are qualifications the same in every state?

Yes. Qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and are the same wherever you live. Licensing is different: it’s set by each state, and Geelong falls under Victoria rules can add requirements beyond the qualification.

Check the rules for your trade on our Victoria trade licence page.

How long does RPL take?

It depends on a few things. What you influence: how quickly you gather and submit your evidence, and how quickly you respond to requests. What RPL it controls: preparing a complete, well-organised portfolio for the RTO and following up for you. What the RTO controls: its assessment workload, scheduling and issuing the qualification.

As an indication, most of our candidates who submit a complete evidence portfolio receive their outcome within 4–6 weeks of submission to the RTO. This is based on past experience, not a guarantee of your timeline.

Does RPL it issue licences?

No. RPL it Australia doesn’t assess or issue licences. The delivering RTO assesses your evidence and issues the qualification, and the Victoria regulator decides any licence outcome.
