About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of a variety of workers who use a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of clients. Health services assistance involves the worker in direct client contact under supervision.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Why should I register my interest?

Is RPL the same as studying the qualification?
RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises the skills you have already developed on the job. It meets the same national standards as traditional study but focuses on evidence of your existing competence rather than repetitive learning.
Do I need to be currently working in a hospital setting?
While current experience is beneficial, evidence can be gathered from previous roles in hospitals, community health centres, or private practices, provided your skills remain current and can be verified by a supervisor.
What happens if I have gaps in my evidence?
If the RTO assessor identifies areas where your evidence is insufficient, they will provide targeted gap training. This allows you to complete only the specific components required without needing to start the entire qualification from scratch.
