About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in glass and glazing enterprises who perform a range of specialist and/or leadership functions, including sales, estimating scheduling, design, production control and quality assurance. Leadership job roles include higher tradesperson (post-trade), factory-based leading hands/supervisors or site supervisors in glass processing, glazing or architectural glass functions in residential and commercial operations.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as completing a training course?
No. While the resulting qualification is identical, RPL focuses on the assessment of skills you already possess. Rather than learning new content, you are provided with a guide to help you demonstrate your existing competence to a qualified assessor.
What level of experience is expected for this qualification?
This qualification is designed for those already working at a leadership or specialist level. Most candidates have either completed a Certificate III in Glass and Glazing or have equivalent years of experience in production, estimating, or site supervision.
Will I need to attend a campus for assessment?
The RPL process is designed to be completed primarily through the submission of a digital evidence portfolio. However, the RTO's assessor may require a conversation or a workplace observation to verify your skills and knowledge.
What happens if there are gaps in my evidence?
If an assessor identifies areas where your evidence does not fully meet the national standard, the RTO will provide targeted gap training. This allows you to build on your foundation rather than starting the qualification from scratch.
