About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of entry-level workers in the textile, clothing and footwear industry who perform basic and defined work tasks involving known routines and procedures under supervision. This qualification is typically used to develop basic employment related skills and knowledge including preparatory access and participation skills and/or specific workplace skills that relate to an individual sector.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It meets the same national standards and is issued by a Registered Training Organisation.
Can I use experience from different TCF sectors?
Absolutely. Whether your experience is in dry cleaning, millinery, footwear, or general clothing production, the elective units in this qualification allow for various specialisations to be recognised.
What if my experience is from an entry-level role?
This Certificate II is designed specifically for entry-level workers. Your experience in following routines, using basic machinery, and working under supervision is exactly what the assessment process looks for.
