About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals such as supervisors or team leaders, working in metalliferous processing facilities or coal preparation and treatment plants, who perform tasks involving a broad range of varied activities, most of which are complex and non-routine. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others, contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems and apply safety management plans to the workplace.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as studying for the Certificate IV?
The assessment standards are identical. Recognition of Prior Learning assesses the evidence of what you have already achieved in the workplace, whereas traditional study teaches you the content from the beginning. Both pathways lead to the same nationally recognised qualification.
Does this qualification cover both coal and metalliferous processing?
Yes, this qualification is designed for individuals working across various processing facilities, including metalliferous plants and coal preparation or treatment plants.
What if my experience is purely in safety management?
