This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a range of well-developed tourism service, sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to coordinate tourism services.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for this specific qualification. While we cannot facilitate an application immediately, registering your interest ensures you are the first to know once the pathway is open.

Is RPL the same as completing a tourism course?
RPL is an assessment-only pathway that recognises the skills you have already built through your career. It is not a training course; rather, it is a process of providing evidence to a qualified assessor to prove you already meet the national standards.
What kind of tourism experience is suitable for this qualification?
Experience in visitor information centres, theme parks, wineries, tour operations, or cultural sites is highly relevant. The process looks for evidence of customer service, industry knowledge, and the ability to coordinate tourism services.
What happens if my evidence doesn't cover all the units?
If the RTO's assessor identifies any gaps in your evidence, they will provide targeted gap training. This allows you to complete only the specific areas needed to meet the qualification requirements, rather than repeating what you already know.
