About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the roles of cabin crew personnel performing normal and emergency cabin crew duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation operations. Cabin crew duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge to cabin service and cargo operations.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification earned through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and holds the same national weight because it assesses you against the same standards.
How does this relate to CASA certifications?
This qualification supports the requirements for certification by CASA as a task specialist under CASR Part 138. While the qualification is a vital piece of evidence, CASA remains the final authority for operational certifications.
Do I need current First Aid and RSA certificates?
Yes, these are essential for employment in the aviation industry. During the RPL process, your consultant will guide you on how to include these as part of your elective evidence to ensure your qualification is fully rounded.
What if I have experience in military aviation?
Defence aviation experience is highly relevant. This qualification is designed to reflect the duties of both commercial and Defence cabin crew, and your military service records can serve as powerful evidence of your competency.
