About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who assist with the delivery of sport and recreation activities and who complete a range of fundamental customer contact and maintenance duties. They work under direct supervision to complete mainly routine tasks.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for this specific qualification. While we cannot facilitate an assessment today, registering your interest ensures you are the first to know when the pathway opens.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and meets the same national standards under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
What kind of experience is relevant for this Certificate II?
Relevant experience includes entry-level roles in gyms, aquatic centres, community recreation hubs, or sports clubs where you have assisted with equipment maintenance, customer service, and session delivery.
Does my experience need to be under direct supervision?
As a Certificate II level qualification, the focus is on routine tasks performed under supervision. Evidence of following instructions and working within a team is highly relevant for this assessment.
