About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of skilled outdoor recreation leaders who lead and supervise dependent participants in recreational activities according to pre-determined activity plans, adjusting as required to suit conditions and participant abilities. Leaders are skilled in recreational activity techniques and have well-developed leadership skills to manage group participation, cohesion, operational logistics, risk and problems as they arise.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of identifying and vetting Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partners who meet our standards for the SIS30619 Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership. Registering your interest ensures you are notified as soon as a compliant pathway is established.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering interest helps us demonstrate demand to our RTO partners, which can accelerate the development of the RPL pathway. It also positions you to be among the first to have your skills reviewed once the qualification is active.
Is RPL the same as completing a training course?
No. While the resulting qualification is identical, RPL is an assessment-only pathway that recognises the skills you have already developed on the job. It respects your prior investment of time rather than requiring you to repeat learning.
Do I need to be a specialist in specific activities for this RPL?
The qualification reflects the role of a leader across various settings. During the evidence gathering phase, we will guide you in demonstrating your leadership competency through the specific activities you have experience in.
What if my experience is mostly in remote field locations?
