About This Qualification
The MSM20116 Certificate II in Process Manufacturing provides the competencies required by competent production workers who undertake vital production support roles directly related to producing products. Production workers apply a breadth and depth of knowledge to a defined range of situations and would be expected to apply this knowledge to solve a defined range of problems by applying known solutions to a limited range of predictable problems.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that offer the MSM20116 qualification. While not yet open for enrolment, you can register your interest to be the first to know when it becomes available.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and holds the same national weight because it assesses the same competency standards.
Which manufacturing sectors does this qualification cover?
The Certificate II in Process Manufacturing is versatile and applies to chemical, hydrocarbons, and refining; plastics, rubber, and cablemaking; and manufactured mineral products.
What if my experience is in a specific niche like plastics or chemicals?
The elective units in this qualification allow for specialisation. When the pathway opens, we will help you identify the units that best align with your specific industry sector and the equipment you operate daily.
