About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of experienced senior building designers who apply substantial specialised knowledge and skills to the management and leadership roles in an organisation or business area. Practitioners are typically responsible for managing a building design practice and undertaking building design projects covered by the National Construction Code (NCC) including the design of both Type A and Type B constructions.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL for a Graduate Diploma as rigorous as traditional study?
Yes. The RPL process applies the same national assessment standards as any other pathway. The difference is that you demonstrate your competency through existing evidence of your professional work rather than through new classroom learning.
What level of experience is required for this qualification?
This Graduate Diploma is designed for senior practitioners. Candidates typically need to demonstrate experience in managing building design practices and undertaking complex projects, including Type A and B constructions under the National Construction Code.
Do I need to hold the Advanced Diploma of Building Design first?
