About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of surveyors who carry out highly specialised surveying functions in areas such as mining and engineering construction. Duties involve carrying out precise measurements and control surveys relating to engineering structures and mine sites using highly specialised surveying equipment.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL for an Advanced Diploma the same as studying?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a rigorous assessment process that respects your existing expertise. Unlike traditional study, it focuses on documenting the skills you have already mastered on the job, ensuring you are recognised without being required to repeat training.
What are the entry requirements for this Advanced Diploma?
Candidates typically need to hold a Diploma of Surveying (CPP50121 or equivalent) or demonstrate vocational experience and knowledge commensurate with the scope of work covered at the Diploma level.
Does this qualification allow me to perform cadastral surveying?
The Advanced Diploma covers highly specialised surveying functions; however, cadastral surveying must always be undertaken under the supervision of a registered surveyor. We recommend consulting your state's regulatory authority for specific registration requirements.
