This qualification allows for the attainment of competencies in the management, engagement and coordination of test and evaluation in support of Defence capability. Job Roles Job roles and titles vary across different sectors.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations that deliver this specific Defence qualification. By registering your interest, you will be the first to know when the pathway is open for evidence submission.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering allows us to gauge demand and expedite the partnership process. It also ensures you receive a preliminary review of your experience so you are prepared to begin the formal assessment as soon as the RTO partnership is finalised.
Is RPL the same as studying the course?
Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment-only pathway that acknowledges the skills you have already developed through your career. It applies the same national standards as a traditional course, but it focuses on evidence of your existing competence rather than new instruction.
What kind of Defence experience is relevant for this Diploma?
Evidence of managing project risks, interpreting complex Defence policy, and providing technical advice regarding test and evaluation processes is highly relevant. Experience in stakeholder engagement and workplace document refinement is also core to this qualification.
Do I need to be a current ADF member to apply?
While the qualification is from the Defence Training Package, the assessment is based on your demonstrated competence. Both current and former ADF members, as well as Defence contractors with relevant evaluation experience, may be suitable candidates for recognition.
