About This Qualification
This qualification allows for the attainment of competencies as a range control officer or an assistant range control officer. It also covers the requirements of a range inspector. It qualifies individuals who apply integrated technical and theoretical concepts in a broad range of contexts to undertake advanced skilled or paraprofessional work as a senior operations officer. The term range refers to any area of land, sea or air that may be designated for military manoeuvres or simulated wartime operations. The range control officer is responsible for the overall management and operation of training areas. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
