About This Qualification
This qualification provides competencies to design renewable energy systems; supervise installation and maintenance; and develop, select, commission, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions on large-scale renewable energy (RE) equipment and systems. There are skills and knowledge covered in this qualification that require a licence or permit to practice.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

When will this qualification be available for RPL?
We are currently in the process of mapping this Diploma to our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partner network and will announce availability as soon as the pathway is finalised.
Why should I register my interest now?

Is RPL the same as completing a study course?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assesses the skills and knowledge you have already gained through years of industry experience against national standards, rather than requiring you to learn new material.
Do I need an Unrestricted Electricians Licence to apply?
Yes. A current 'Unrestricted Electricians Licence' or a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician is a mandatory entry requirement for this qualification.
What kind of renewable energy systems are covered?
The qualification focuses on large-scale renewable energy equipment, including grid-connected photovoltaic systems, battery storage, and off-grid generating sets.
