This qualification reflects the role of a specialist hydraulic design consultant who designs plumbing and services systems in domestic, commercial and industrial contexts. The qualification includes the skills and knowledge to design complex hydraulic systems.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that can deliver the CPC50620 Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design. At this stage, we are accepting registrations of interest rather than active enrolments.

Is RPL the same as completing a course?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that recognises the skills and knowledge you have already gained through work and life experience. It is a pathway to the same nationally recognised qualification as study, but it focuses on evidence of existing competency.
What are the entry requirements for this Diploma?
To be eligible for assessment in this qualification, you must have completed either the CPC40920 Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services or the CPC40912 equivalent, including specific units regarding regulatory requirements.
Does this qualification grant a plumbing licence?
No. This qualification reflects the role of a specialist hydraulic design consultant. It does not meet the competency requirements for plumbing licensing or registration in any Australian state or territory.
