About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who create, deliver and monitor arts and health programs for a wide variety of clients and contexts in the arts and health industry. This qualification is intended to reflect a collaboration between the Arts and Health sectors.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as completing a study course?
Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment-only pathway that acknowledges the skills you have already acquired through work and life experience. It is not a teaching program; instead, it is a process of demonstrating that your existing competence meets the national standard for the qualification.
What kind of experience do I need for this qualification?
The Diploma of Arts and Health is designed for those who have a background in either the arts or health sectors. You should have experience in creating or delivering programs that use creative processes to improve health outcomes, equivalent to AQF level 3 skills or above.
Will I need to provide examples of my artistic work?
Yes, as part of the evidence portfolio, you will likely need to demonstrate your ability to collaborate in creative processes. This may include work samples, session plans, or documentation of the artistic outputs generated during your health-focused programs.
How are the assessments conducted?
Your evidence is evaluated by a qualified assessor from one of our partner RTOs. They will review your portfolio and may conduct a competency conversation or request a practical demonstration to ensure your skills align with the core and elective units of the Diploma.
