About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in leadership and management roles across a wide range of arts, entertainment and cultural organisations, including performing arts organisations, theatres, festivals, events, museums, galleries and government. Individuals may work in large or small arts organisations and their skills may be specialised or broad.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Why should I register my interest now?

Is RPL the same as studying for the Diploma?
No. While the qualification issued is identical, RPL is an assessment process that recognises the skills you have already gained through work. It values your experience as evidence, rather than requiring you to repeat learning you have already mastered.
What kind of experience is most relevant for this qualification?
We look for individuals who have operated with autonomy in leadership roles within festivals, museums, galleries, or performing arts companies. Experience in fundraising, WHS management, and building collaborative partnerships is highly valued.
Does my volunteer experience in the arts sector count?
Lived expertise is valid regardless of the pay scale. If you have managed regional arts programs or community festivals in a volunteer capacity, that experience can often serve as powerful evidence of your management competency.
