About This Qualification

This is a qualification for strata community managers who work independently using specialised knowledge to provide management services for strata communities. Strata community managers perform all functions associated with the administration of strata communities, including facilitating meetings of strata community members, administering insurance for strata communities, handling strata community funds and maintaining business records, and reporting on the financial activities of strata communities. Is RPL the same as completing a strata management course?▾

No. While a course teaches you new skills, RPL is a process of assessment. It allows a qualified assessor to review the evidence of what you have already achieved in the industry to determine if you meet the national standards.

What kind of experience is most relevant for this Cert IV?▾

Relevant experience includes managing strata funds, facilitating committee meetings, interpreting strata plans, and coordinating the maintenance of common property within a strata or body corporate environment.

Will I need to provide copies of minutes from meetings I've managed?▾

Yes, meeting minutes and agendas are excellent forms of evidence to demonstrate your competency in facilitating strata community meetings and committee operations, provided any private information is appropriately redacted.

What happens if the assessor identifies a gap in my evidence?▾

If the RTO's assessor determines that your evidence doesn't fully cover a specific unit, they will identify the gap. You will then have the opportunity to complete targeted gap training to meet the requirement at no additional cost.
