What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as doing a course?
RPL is an assessment-only pathway that recognises the expertise you have already gained on the job. Unlike a standard course, it focuses on providing evidence of your existing skills rather than requiring you to learn them again.
What entry requirements apply to this qualification?
Candidates must demonstrate skills and knowledge equivalent to the Certificate II in Racing (Greyhound), showing significant industry-relevant experience in greyhound care and management.
Can I use my trainer licence as evidence?
Yes, a current or past licence issued by a Principal Racing Authority is excellent primary evidence of your industry standing and technical competence.
