About This Qualification
This qualification applies to those who require skills development to prepare for workforce entry or vocational training pathways. It reflects the role of individuals who work under direct supervision to perform a range of mainly routine tasks in a surveying or spatial information services context.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight as one earned through traditional study.
What kind of experience is relevant for this Certificate II?
This is an entry-level qualification. Relevant experience includes assisting surveyors on-site, performing basic data entry for mapping, or working in routine roles within the spatial information services sector.
Do I need to be currently working in the industry?
