About This Qualification
This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for entry-level workers in the irrigation industry. Individuals with this qualification work under routine supervision where the work is predictable and structured with limited judgement requirements.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

This qualification is currently in our development phase. We are in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that specialise in irrigation to ensure your experience is assessed by industry experts.
Why should I register my interest?
By registering your interest, you will be the first to know when we have a partner RTO ready to assess this qualification. This allows you to prepare your evidence early and move through the recognition process as soon as it opens.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification earned through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight as one earned through a traditional classroom pathway.
What kind of irrigation experience is needed for this qualification?
The Certificate II is designed for those with experience in entry-level tasks, such as assisting with low volume or pressurised systems, operating basic machinery, and performing routine maintenance on rural or landscape irrigation.
Does this qualification grant me a plumbing licence?
No, this qualification is for irrigation work. While it covers essential water management skills, it does not replace a full plumbing licence. Some states may require a restricted licence for specific types of irrigation work.
