About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals with the skills and knowledge to perform in a range of varied activities in the creative industries where there is a defined range of contexts. It applies to work in different work environments that include entertainment customer service, staging, television and radio production, broadcasting production, lighting and sound, theatre, scenery and set construction, screen and media, and film production.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that offer the Certificate II in Creative Industries. We are not yet accepting formal enrolments but encourage you to register your interest.
Why should I register my interest?
By registering, you will receive priority notification as soon as we secure a partnership with a suitable RTO. This ensures you can begin your recognition journey without delay once the pathway is active.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification issued through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is nationally recognised and meets the same Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
I have experience in both theatre and film; can I use both for my evidence?
Absolutely. This qualification is designed to reflect the multi-disciplinary nature of the creative industries. Evidence from varied environments such as live theatre, radio, and screen production is highly valuable.
Does this qualification grant me a High Risk Work Licence?
No. While some units may cover the knowledge required for operating certain equipment, formal High Risk Work Licences (such as for Elevated Work Platforms) must be obtained through relevant state authorities like SafeWork.
