About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a limited range of tasks on the underbody systems of a variety of vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Why should I register my interest?
Registration ensures you are the first to be notified as soon as a partnership is finalised. It also allows us to provide you with preliminary guidance on the evidence you might need to gather, giving you a head start on the recognition process.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification earned through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight as one earned through a classroom. The only difference is how you demonstrate your competency; through evidence of experience rather than new learning.
Can I get a specialisation in Exhaust or Radiator Repair?
Yes, the AUR21220 qualification allows for specialisations in General Underbody, Exhaust, or Radiator and Cooling System Repair. When the pathway opens, we will guide you in providing specific evidence that aligns with your chosen area of expertise.
What kind of workshop evidence will I need?
Assessors typically look for practical proof of your work, such as job cards, workshop logs, safety checklists, and photos of your repairs. We will provide a clear guide on how to document your daily tasks to meet the required standards.
