About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of tasks relating to servicing and repairing air conditioning components and systems of cars and heavy vehicles in an automotive service and repair business. The completion of this qualification enables an individual to apply for an AAC02 - Refrigerant handling licence - qualified persons (Automotive air conditioning licence).
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to offer this qualification. It is not yet available for immediate enrolment.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification earned through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is nationally recognised and meets the same Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
Will this qualification help me get my ARC licence?
Yes, the AUR20220 qualification is specifically designed to meet the educational requirements for the AAC02 Automotive Air Conditioning Licence issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council.
What happens if I have experience but no formal paperwork?
Our consultants will guide you in identifying and gathering alternative forms of evidence, such as statutory declarations, photos of your work, or videos of you performing specific HVAC tasks.
