About This Qualification
This qualification provides competencies to design and validate/evaluate renewable energy (RE) equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
Not yet. We are currently in the research phase for the Advanced Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering. We are gauging interest from experienced engineers to present a business case to our RTO partners to open this pathway.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering helps us demonstrate to Registered Training Organisations that there is a significant pool of experienced professionals whose expertise deserves formal recognition, potentially accelerating the availability of this RPL pathway.
Is RPL the same as completing a training course?
No. While the resulting qualification is identical and nationally recognised, RPL focuses on assessing the evidence of your existing expertise rather than requiring you to repeat learning in a classroom setting.
What are the entry requirements for this qualification?
To be eligible for this Advanced Diploma, you must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or a current Unrestricted Electrician's Licence issued in an Australian state or territory.
What kind of evidence will I eventually need?
You will likely need to provide design briefs, engineering reports, project management documentation, and evidence of solving complex circuit and physics-based problems within renewable energy contexts.
