Could RPL Be Right for You?

Experience can be evidence.

RPL is the process that helps you demonstrate it.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal assessment process that evaluates the skills, knowledge, and experience you've gained through your career to determine whether you meet the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification. It isn't a shortcut — it applies the same assessment standards as any other pathway.

RPL typically involves:

📋

A review of your work experience against the qualification requirements

💼

Compilation of an evidence portfolio demonstrating your competency

👤

Assessment by a qualified assessor from a Registered Training Organisation

🎯

If gaps are identified, targeted training to build on your existing expertise

ℹ️ Important Pathway Advice

RPL isn't the right pathway for everyone. If you don't have substantial, relevant, and current industry experience, a traditional study pathway may serve you better.

Our approach:

“We'd rather guide you to the right pathway than enrol you in the wrong one.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this qualification and RPL.

Is the CHC82015 qualification currently available for RPL?
We are in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations that deliver this specific Graduate Certificate. At this stage, we are inviting experienced professionals to register their interest so we can notify you the moment the RPL pathway becomes active.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering ensures you are prioritised for a free skills review once our RTO partnerships are finalised. It allows us to keep you informed about the documentation you may need to gather, ensuring you are well-positioned for a smooth recognition process.
Is RPL the same as completing a postgraduate study program?
RPL is an assessment-only pathway that recognises the skills you have already acquired through your career. Unlike traditional study, which teaches new content, RPL focuses on helping you demonstrate that your existing expertise meets the national standards for the qualification.
What are the entry requirements for this Graduate Certificate?
To be eligible for this qualification, you must hold a minimum three-year tertiary qualification or equivalent in an associated field. This ensures that the recognition process builds upon a solid foundational academic or professional background.
How do I prove my case management experience?
Evidence often includes redacted case files, assessment frameworks you have developed, records of collaborative partnerships, and performance reviews. Your consultant will guide you on how to present these documents to meet the assessor's requirements.
What happens if the assessor identifies gaps in my evidence?
If the RTO assessor determines that your evidence does not fully cover certain units, you will be offered gap training. This is targeted learning designed to address specific areas, ensuring you can demonstrate competency across the entire qualification without starting from scratch.
