About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who manage a retail business, multiple retail stores or departments, following a business strategy to deliver profitable results for the organisation. These individuals support senior management and provide leadership to retail teams.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as completing a traditional retail course?
RPL focuses on recognition rather than repetition. While traditional study involves learning new material, RPL is an assessment process that evaluates the skills you have already developed during your career against national standards.
I manage a franchise; can I use my experience for this Diploma?
Yes. Managing a franchise involves significant autonomy, financial responsibility, and strategic planning, all of which are core components of the Diploma of Retail Leadership.
What if I don't have a Certificate IV in Retail Management?
Entry to this qualification can be based on relevant industry experience that demonstrates the application of skills at a management level, even if you do not hold the lower-level certificate.
How do I demonstrate I have 'driven retail profitability'?
