This qualification reflects the role of individuals who undertake a range of advanced writing and editing tasks required across diverse industries, including the writing or editing industries. Individuals will be required to write in a range of contexts and text types.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for this specific qualification. At this stage, we are accepting registrations of interest from experienced writers and editors.
Why should I register my interest?
Registering interest allows us to notify you the moment an RTO partner is secured. It also helps us demonstrate the demand for this qualification, potentially accelerating the partnership process.
Is RPL the same as a traditional study pathway?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment process that acknowledges the skills you have already developed through your career. It respects your time by not requiring you to repeat learning for areas where you are already competent.
What are the entry requirements for this Diploma?
To enter this qualification, you must be able to provide evidence of your technical skills, specifically the ability to write 1,000-word works and provide objective critiques of others' work.
Can my freelance work be used as evidence for RPL?
Yes. Freelance contracts, published works, and client feedback are excellent forms of evidence that demonstrate your professional practice and industry knowledge.
