About This Qualification
This qualification allows for the attainment of skills and knowledge in police search and rescue (SAR) coordination while also specialising in either marine or land SAR duties. The marine specialisation covers skills that allow police officers to employ specialised knowledge and skilled practice in SAR coordination within a marine environment. The land specialisation covers skills that allow police officers to employ specialised knowledge and skilled practice in SAR coordination within a land environment. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
