About This Qualification

This qualification reflects a range of job roles with team and management responsibilities in general insurance industry environments. Is RPL currently available for the Diploma of General Insurance?

Is the RPL process the same as completing a training course?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning assesses the skills you have already developed through your career in insurance. Rather than learning new material, you are providing evidence that you already meet the national standards for the qualification.
Does this qualification meet ASIC requirements for advice?
The Diploma of General Insurance is often used to demonstrate competency for provide Tier 1 or Tier 2 advice. However, regulatory requirements change, and you should consult with ASIC or your compliance officer to confirm current standards.
Can my experience in loss adjusting count towards this Diploma?
