About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of entry level clinical coders who use a range of skills and knowledge to analyse clinical documentation using a standardised classification system for assigning codes to represent care provided to patients in the health care system.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that specialise in this qualification. While not immediately available for enrolment, registering your interest ensures you are notified the moment the pathway is active.

Is RPL the same as studying the Diploma?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a different pathway, not a different standard. Your existing experience is assessed against the same national competencies as a student, ensuring the resulting qualification is equally valued and recognised.
