About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator performing foundation work in the civil construction industry who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide some theoretical advice and work collaboratively to support a team.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as completing a training course?
No. RPL recognises the skills you have already developed through years of on-the-job experience, whereas traditional study is designed for those who need to learn the skills from the beginning.
What kind of foundation experience is relevant for assessment?
Experience in piling, underpinning, soil stabilisation, and ground support systems on civil construction sites provides a strong foundation for the evidence required in this qualification.
Will I need to provide evidence of plant operation?
Yes, providing logs or records of operating small plant and equipment, as well as dewatering and site water table control, are core components of demonstrating competency.
