About This Qualification
The MSM20216 Certificate II in Manufacturing Technology applies to a learning and assessment environment where access to normal production operations is not available. A typical environment will be for application in a VET in Schools delivery environment or other simulated or trial manufacturing environment where a high degree of supervision exists.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification earned through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. Both are issued by a Registered Training Organisation and meet the same national standards within the Australian Qualifications Framework.
I have worked in a non-factory environment; does my experience count?
This qualification focuses on manufacturing technology and production operations. If you have experience in a trial, simulated, or supervised production environment, your skills may be highly relevant for the assessment of your competency.
What are competitive systems and practices?
These involve techniques used in manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce waste. If you have experience with Lean manufacturing, Just-in-Time, or other process improvement methodologies, you are well-positioned for these units.
