About This Qualification
Workers with this qualification perform basic and defined entry-level work involving known routines and procedures under supervision in the furnishing industry. This qualification is typically used to develop basic employment related skills and knowledge.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for the Certificate II in Furnishing. While not yet active, registering your interest ensures you will be the first to know when the pathway is launched.
Why should I register my interest?
Registering your interest allows us to gauge demand and accelerate the partnership process. It also ensures you receive direct notification the moment we can begin guiding you through the evidence collection for this qualification.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. It is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and meets the same national standards.
What if my experience is in a specific area like flooring or blinds?
The Certificate II in Furnishing is designed to be flexible. The RPL process can focus on your specific area of expertise; whether that is flooring technology, window coverings, or furniture finishing; to demonstrate your competency.
Will I need to provide photos of my work?
Visual evidence is often a powerful way to demonstrate your skills to an assessor. Photos or videos showing you safely using tools, making measurements, or completing assembly tasks can form a core part of your evidence portfolio.
