The qualification is an introductory qualification and is designed to raise awareness of the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This Certificate I in Resources and Infrastructure Operations is a pathway qualification.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Not at this moment. We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that specialise in resources and infrastructure to ensure a robust RPL pathway for this qualification.

Registering your interest ensures you are the first to know when we secure a partner RTO. It also allows us to provide early guidance on the types of evidence you may need to gather based on your current site experience.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight and validity as one earned through traditional classroom study.
What kind of experience is relevant for this Certificate I?
As an introductory qualification, relevant experience includes basic site labouring, following safety procedures, communicating in a team environment, and using simple hand tools on construction or mining sites.
Will this qualification help me move into higher-level roles?
