What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is recognition of prior learning the same as a standard course?
No, RPL is an assessment-only pathway that values your existing expertise. It allows you to demonstrate your competency through evidence rather than repeating study for what you already know.
Do I need a lower-level qualification to apply for this Advanced Diploma?
Entry requirements allow for individuals with four years of full-time relevant work experience to be considered, even if they do not hold the prerequisite Diploma.
What kind of leadership evidence will I need to provide?
The assessor will look for evidence that you have provided strategic direction and are accountable for group outcomes within a marketing or communications context.
Will I be required to undertake any study?
If the RTO assessor identifies specific gaps in your evidence, they will provide targeted gap training to ensure you meet the national standard, often at no additional cost.
