I'd been cutting meat for 12 years and never had a paper to show for it. The team at RPL It made the whole process simple — I filmed at my own shop and had my Cert III within weeks.

I owned my own shop for 8 years and always felt embarrassed not having a formal qual. RPL It helped me pull together the evidence I already had. Honest, fast, and professional.

They told me upfront what would and wouldn't count as evidence. Saved me a lot of wasted time. Three stages done, certificate in hand — and I didn't miss a single day of work.

FAQ

Everything You Need to Know

Key questions before starting a free skills review or moving into enrolment.

What is the difference between "Free Skills Review" and "Enrol Now"?

The Free Skills Review is the starting point for anyone new to RPL It - a no-obligation review where our consultants confirm whether your experience appears to align with AMP30815. Enrol Now is the next step for candidates who have already received eligibility confirmation from our team.

Do I need to stop working to do this?

No. The RPL pathway is designed around your existing workplace. Videos are filmed during normal work where possible, and knowledge interviews can be arranged by phone or video call.

Is this qualification nationally recognised?

Yes. RPL is a nationally regulated assessment pathway under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Your AMP30815 certificate is issued by the delivering RTO and carries the same standing as a qualification obtained through traditional study.

How long does the full process take?

Most candidates progress as quickly as they can gather strong workplace evidence and complete assessor interviews. Your TQMS assessor gives you a realistic timeline during enrolment.

How much experience do I need?

A minimum of 12-24 months of substantive experience in retail butchery is usually expected. This can be in a retail butcher shop, supermarket meat department, smallgoods production, or similar setting.

Who assesses my evidence?

A qualified assessor from the delivering RTO assesses your evidence. RPL It Australia is a student support service - we guide evidence gathering, but the assessment judgement and qualification issuance are performed by the RTO.

What if there are gaps in my skills?

If the assessor identifies a gap, targeted support can be provided to build on your existing expertise before that unit is formally assessed. We discuss likely gaps honestly during the Free Skills Review.

What does it cost?

Final pricing is confirmed before enrolment. You receive a clear, personalised quote before being asked to commit or make any payment. There is no upfront cost to start the Free Skills Review.
