What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that offer the AUR32220 Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology. By registering your interest, you will be notified as soon as this pathway becomes active.
Why should I register my interest?
Registering allows us to gauge demand and accelerate the partnership process with suitable RTOs. It also ensures you are the first to receive guidance on compiling your evidence portfolio once the qualification is available for assessment.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is identical to one earned through traditional study. Both are nationally recognised and meet the same Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards; the only difference is how you demonstrate your competency.
Does this qualification cover heavy vehicle glass?
Yes, the core units of this qualification specifically include the removal and installation of heavy vehicle rubber and direct glazed windscreens, as well as large vehicle windscreens.
What kind of evidence will I eventually need for the glazing units?
You will likely need to demonstrate your ability to handle various glass types and installation methods, such as direct glazing (using adhesives) and rubber-mounted systems, across different vehicle body parts including fixed and movable glass.
